Training Brand Ambassadors for Success

Once the right people have been hired, perhaps the most important element in conducting a promotion is training.  Many agencies profess they provide significant training for their staff, but this oftentimes is overlooked.

Pro Motion prides itself on extensively training every Brand Ambassador prior to the activation of a program.  Whether your program includes street teams, mobile tours, or product sampling Pro Motion ensures that all Brand Ambassadors are properly trained and educated before engaging your consumers.  Training programs for mobile tours are face-to-face and are typically 2-4 weeks in length.  Training for street teams is dependent upon the needs of the program, the complexity of the messaging, special skills required and other determining factors.  Product sampling program training can include special food handling and cooking certifications.  Training will be held face-to-face with the Pro Motion Account Service Team whenever possible.  Each customized Pro Motion training program consists of the following elements: Client, Brand, Program Activation and Pro Motion Company Training.

Client and Brand Training:
We gather as much information as possible to educate our staff about our Client, their products and their consumer.  We also request Client participation in training in order to deliver a consistent, controlled message regarding program objectives, brand identity and Ambassador expectations.  In addition, the Client’s passion for their brand is unmatched and contagious as they share brand messaging and background to our Teams.

Program Activation Training:
Program training outlines the operational requirements of vehicles, displays, promotional equipment and consumer interaction skills, as well as effective communication and reporting procedures.  Ambassadors are provided detailed product training to ensure they are educated representatives for the Client brand.

Pro Motion Company Training:
In these sessions Brand Ambassadors are educated on the history of Pro Motion, the philosophies and culture that define us and the reasons why we’ve been successful in supporting Clients worthy of the highest level of promotional activation.  They learn how we do business, our administrative procedures and company expectations.

When possible we have our teams conduct mock events, testing their equipment, brand and product knowledge.  This is also a chance to test their consumer engagement skills prior to program launch.
