CNN And Partners Invited Football Fans to Cleebrate Rebuilding Five Years After Katrina
Pro Motion Sets the Stage for CNN’s Cool Off with AC360° As CNN Anchor Anderson Cooper Greets Fans
ST. LOUIS (August 31, 2010) - CNN, invited New Orleans football fans to celebrate how far the city has come in the five years since Hurricane Katrina devastated the region. CNN broadcasted live the entire week of the Katrina anniversary (August 23-29), and tapped Pro Motion to create Cool Off with AC360°, a celebratory event marketing tail-gating party with CNN sponsors Principal Financial and Tide Loads of Hope at the New Orleans pre-season game August 27th, 2010. CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, anchor of Anderson Cooper 360° (AC360), greeted fans at the event. Fans took in the opportunity to pose for photos with Cooper and create their own signs to display during the game The party also featured face-painting for younger fans, trivia, prizes and the CNN Election Express -CNN’s mobile news bureau which combines a studio, editing room and production facility with the capabilities of a satellite news truck. Thousands of fans tailgated alongside Mr. Cooper and the network, and many were later seen on the Superdome jumbo tron donning branded CNN/AC360 Mardi Gras beads.

We saw the premiums throughout the stadium including the fan created signs rooting on their Super Bowl Champions.”
